Gud Papdi is a sweet treat made with wheat flour, Ghee and Gud(Jaggery)

Preparation Time 10 Mins. cooking Time 15-20 Mins. Makes 20 -25 pieces


  • 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 100GMS Gud (Jaggery)
  • 1 Cup Clarified Butter(Ghee)
  • 2-3 Almond Sliced
  • 2-3 Pistachios Sliced
  • 1 -2 tablespoon Sesame seeds


  1. First Greased the Thali or Tray with a Ghee and keep it aside.
  2.  Melt the Ghee in a Pan, add the Wheat Flour and Sauté on a Medium-Flame for approximate 15 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color while stir continuously.
  3. Slow the flame and add grated Jaggery, one spoon of water, Cardamom Powder and Sesame Seeds.
  4. When the Jaggery melts pour immediate the mixture into the thali or tray.
  5. Spread it evenly with the help of the base of a small steel bowl or a flat spoon.
  6. Garnish with almond and pistachio slices.
  7. Cut into the desired shapes.
  8. Now start Removing pieces and enjoy..

TIPS # If you like Gud Papdi Softer- Add one table spoon of Milk
if you like crunchy- add water instead of milk

I always adding 1 tbsp. water to make my gudpapadi little crunchy, Because of my family loves crunchy Gud Papdi.
